GUIDELINES & CRITERIA FOR AWARDS

The Awards Committee would like to invite council submissions for 80th Anniversary awards.  

  • Nominating councils must be financial.
  • Individuals nominated must be financial with their respective national and local organization, which in turn, must be financial with the local NPHC.
  • First Place awards only for each category.
  • Projects/programs submitted must have occurred between January and December 2009.
  • SUBMISSION REQUIREMENTS
  • Application must be typed.
  • Submit with the completed, typed application:
  • A typed essay (500 words maximum) explaining how the council has fully met the award criteria.
  • Award statements must be documented (e.g., programs, newspaper clippings, commendations, event flyers and photographs(15 maximum), etc.). Documentation should be attached to submission form and be no larger than 8.5 x 11.
  • Nomination forms must be typed and signed by the Council President
  • The award form may be duplicated, if necessary.


SUBMISSION DEADLINES
The electronic submission deadline is Tuesday, April 20, 2010.

Hard copy submissions must be postmarked and mailed by Tuesday, April 20, 2010.

The awards categories are:

  • Outstanding Council (graduate and undergraduate)
  • Outstanding Council President (graduate and undergraduate)
  • Outstanding Advisor
  • Outstanding Soror/Frater of the Year (graduate and undergraduate)
